Jeff Marquis, Director of Support Services
About Mr. Marquis | Director of Support Services for the Fort Cherry School District
Mr. Jeff Marquis grew up in the local area and is a graduate of Fort
Cherry’s class of 1976. He served in the US Army and was a Specialist 5 in
food service. During his three years of service,
he was awarded Battalion Cook of the year and Base Runner Up for that same
award at a transportation base in Ft. Eustis, Virginia. He went on to pursue a
career in the culinary arts by attending and graduating from The Culinary
Institute of America at Hyde Park, NY. Upon returning to the Pittsburgh area,
he worked at the LeMont restaurant, Airport Holiday Inn and Bayer Corporation
before coming to Fort Cherry in 1984 and serving our students at Fort Cherry ever since.
In addition to directing the food service, he oversees the
transportation of students and coordinates the needs of the district’s parents
and students with our local bus contractors and completes all the reporting
information to government agencies.
been married to his wife Dana since 1981, has four adult children, and one
grandson. He pastors a small
Presbyterian church in Beaver County and attributes his achievements and
success to his parents, family, his education at Fort Cherry, and the local community
in which he grew up and now works.
