Terms and Conditions

 

Learning Opportunities:

r Student will attend the program Monday through Friday from 3:00 – 7:30 pm.

r Student will receive individualized program development in core academic areas.

r Student will receive instruction in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

r Student will participate in life skills activities, guidance counseling and physical education.

r Student will commit to participate in job and/or community service opportunities for at least two and a half (5) hours per week.

 

Academic Requirements:

r Student will improve study habits.

r Student will maintain a passing grade in every core academic area. 

 

Behavior Requirements:

r Student will improve attitude towards school.

r Student will receive no major behavior referrals.

r Student will receive no more than two minor behavior referrals.

r Student will receive no more than two absences. (All must be legal excuses)

r Students will participate in 2.5 hours a week of general/career counseling. 

r Upon a students return to the regular school day he/she will be on the restricted list until notified. 

 

Teacher Responsibilities:

r Teachers will complete student assignment sheets on a weekly basis and return them to the Lead Teacher each Monday by 3:00 pm.

r Teachers will provide all necessary instructional materials such as textbooks, supplemental work, and assessments.

r Teachers will check all assignments and return them in a timely manner.

r Teachers will record grades and provide progress feedback.

 

Lead Teacher Responsibilities:

r The Lead Teacher will provide an environment that is conducive to learning. 

r The Lead Teacher will record attendance.

r The Lead Teacher will keep disciplinary anecdotal records.

r The Lead Teacher will distribute weekly student assignment sheets to teachers.

r The Lead Teacher will distribute and collect all assignments.

r The Lead Teacher will assist students in all academic areas when needed.

r The Lead Teacher will coordinate all activities with the Program Director.

The Lead Teacher will submit academic and behavior reports to the Program Director.
