Fort Cherry School District

The children are our focus...working together is our method.

  • The Fort Cherry School District is a small, rural public institution located approx 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh City.  The District encompasses 58 square miles which include the municipalities of McDonald, Midway, Hickory, and the Townships of Robinson and Mount Pleasant.  The District campus is located on 70 square miles of majestic farm land with an amazing view of Pennsylvania's rolling hills.

The Fort Cherry Campus is made up of two school buildings--Fort Cherry Elementary Center (Grades K-6) and Fort Cherry Junior Senior High School (Grades 7-12).  The District campus also includes a football stadium, multi-purpose practice field, tennis court, baseball/softball fields, two vocational agriculture greenhouses (hydroponics and aquaponics facilities), a breathtaking cross country trail.
