    Classroom Procedures

    1. Respect yourself, others, and the school
    2. Raise your hand and WAIT to be acknowledged before speaking
    3. Be in your seat prepared for class, completing your warm-up when the bell rings
    4. The teacher dismisses you, not the bell

    Grading Procedures

     
    Students will receive points for class participation, homework, quizzes, tests, and projects.  See individual class descriptions for more details.  
     
    Course Descriptions
     
    Throughout the year we will be covering topics that occur as a result of energy interacting with matter.  For Conceptual Physics, we will use basic mathematical analysis (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and exponents) to help describe most phenomena.  A small amount of algebra will be required in order to solve some of the problems, including the Pythagorean Theorem.  For Physics and AP Physics we will use equations to help describe the phenomena occurring throughout the year and a deep understanding of algebra and will be extremely helpful; some knowledge of the trigonometric functions would be beneficial.
