• Trigonometry and PreCalculus

    Trig and PreCalc: Is a course designed for the college bound math student. It is designed to build on a strong algebraic background, and prepare the student for college Calculus.  The students will investigate and explore the characteristics of the following types of functions: linear, polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric. Students will sketch graphs of the above functions and use their equations. Students will also solve equations and inequalities involving the above topics. Students will explore concepts and develop mathematical relationships through observation, application, and informal proof.

    Scope of the Course:

    Throughout the year we will be covering many topics in both trigonometry and precalculus. These include but are not limited to:

    * Functions and Graphs

    * Polynomial, Power, and Rational Functions

    * Exponential, Logistic, and Logarithmic Functions

    *Trigonometric Functions

    *Analytic Trigonometry

    *Vectors

    * Polar Equations

    *Systems and Matrices

    *Limits

    * Derivatives

    * Integrals

    *Discrete Math
