Fort Cherry Jr/Sr High School Counseling Department
Our program is based on the concept which views guidance as preventative and continuous rather than corrective and remedial. Our goal is to address the needs of all children, not just those who need specialized help. Services are provided to help the students of Fort Cherry High School adjust to and pass through the physical, social, emotional, and academic developmental changes that occur during the school years as smoothly as possible. Developmental guidance aims for the development of every aspect of the student's being to the fullest potential for the benefit of the student as well as society.

2022-23 Scheduling Process
The Fort Cherry HS began the scheduling process for the 2022-23 school year. We will hold grade level Student Information Sessions. On the day of their Student Information Session, students will receive the Course Handbook and a scheduling sheet for next year's classes. Parents/Guardians should speak to their children regarding their course selections for the upcoming school year. Students will NOT complete their schedule requests at the information session. A parent/guardian signature is required for students to proceed with scheduling. The scheduling sheet MUST be submitted to the School Counseling Office no later than Monday, April 11th. School Counselors will follow up with students who were absent for the session. If your child does not have a scheduling sheet, please contact his/her school counselor.
