About Mr. Marquis | Director of Support Services for the Fort Cherry School District

Mr. Jeff Marquis grew up in the local area and is a graduate of Fort Cherry’s class of 1976. He served in the US Army and was a Specialist 5 in food service.  During his three years of service, he was awarded Battalion Cook of the year and Base Runner Up for that same award at a transportation base in Ft. Eustis, Virginia. He went on to pursue a career in the culinary arts by attending and graduating from The Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park, NY. Upon returning to the Pittsburgh area, he worked at the LeMont restaurant, Airport Holiday Inn and Bayer Corporation before coming to Fort Cherry in 1984 and serving our students at Fort Cherry ever since.

In addition to directing the food service, he oversees the transportation of students and coordinates the needs of the district’s parents and students with our local bus contractors and completes all the reporting information to government agencies.

Jeff has been married to his wife Dana since 1981, has four adult children, and one grandson.  He pastors a small Presbyterian church in Beaver County and attributes his achievements and success to his parents, family, his education at Fort Cherry, and the local community in which he grew up and now works.
