Alopecia Awareness Fundraiser
On January 20th at the Girls' Varsity Basketball Game, the Fort Cherry HS will bring awareness to the disease Alopecia Areata and raise funds to support medical research to help find a cure. Alivia Cerciello, a Fort Cherry Junior, has lived with Alopecia since 2011. Alopecia is an auto-immune disease that causes hair loss. Currently, there is no cure for the disease and little is known about the cause. It was difficult for Alivia to learn how to deal with the disease as a 9 year old girl becoming a teenager. Through the years, she learned to turn an experience that was upsetting to something AMAZING through support from her family, friends, and peers who share the same disease. She loves telling her story and wants to share it with you. Show your support by coming to the Girls' Basketball Game on January 20th vs. Frazier.
